Time to make soup!
The leaves are turning colors, the air is crisp, fall is here and it is time to make soup. One of my favorite soups is Rachael Ray’s Chicken Soup with Lemon. Simple and yummy, the lemon just lifts the flavor. I often...
Contentment
You have heard me talk about contentment, Santosa, over the last few weeks. It is something I am always thinking about in my own life. When am I content? At the top of my list is holding my dog and walks with my husband. What knocks me out of it? Having too much on my...

“I’m 80 now and I catch colds easily. If I am in a small space and someone coughs then I catch it. When I heard you were going virtual I was so happy to know I could come back to Yoga classes at SoundYoga. You have created a very special space. The teachers… the students… and the environment… I always feel so relaxed after class and less stressed. Flexibility and strength that I lost are returning.
I do some conscious breathing and my mind relaxes. Thank goodness for virtual and in person Sound Yoga!!!”
“I arrive at class knowing that Chris has a plan for us that day…which she attends to diligently. This allows me to focus on my poses and movement and not wonder “what’s next?’. Her voice is crystal clear. Her check-ins, meditations and chants make class a full body/mind/spirit work-out. My practice at Sound Yoga is a very important part of my life thanks to Chris.”
“Yoga, what a scary notion for a 72 year old man to contemplate. I pretty much always considered yoga to be too woo woo for me. But given my aging body, stiff joints, increasingly poor balance I knew I had to do something.
My wife introduced me to Chris and her studio in West Seattle. A couple of things about Chris and her mode – no bs and no jargon. Very welcoming. I now take two classes a week. One of which is a combination of yoga and weight training. Very rigorous and I’m the only guy in the class.
I must say my flexibility, strength and balance have all improved. The bottom line, my golf swing and score are noticeably improved. Works for me.”
