SoundYoga’s Teacher Training program is both challenging and richly rewarding. You will experience the joy of learning in an environment that has been designed to help you achieve a sense of fulfillment and prepare you to teach beginning yoga to groups and to individuals. While many teacher training programs offer a variety of perspectives from different traditions and styles, this comprehensive training program is taught in the tradition of Krishnamacharya to best provide the participant a firm foundation from which to grow. (*Krishnamacharya was an innovator who saw the potential of adapting Yoga to each individual, he separated Yoga from religion and he was one of the first Yoga teachers to teach Yoga to women.)

“I participated in the Sound Yoga teacher training in 2012-13. I was very impressed with the way the Chris organized the program. It is laid out so that you have time to absorb all the Yoga Therapy concepts in a sequential manner. This process gives meaning to the topics and helps connect them so that they make sense. This process also gives you confidence so by the end of the training you feel prepared to be a Yoga teacher and therapist. If you have learning differences Chris is very sensitive to this and uses multiple modalities to teach all the topics. I recommend this training to anyone who wants to better understand the 8 limbs of Yoga and become a caring and knowledgeable Yoga Teacher.”
“It was a breath of fresh air attending Sound Yoga’s teacher’s training program with Chris Dormaier after experiencing other (larger) yoga teacher training programs. Sound Yoga’s classes are held in a small, intimate and beautiful yoga studio. The smaller class size and personalized interaction with the instructors promotes a deeper level of understanding of the yoga philosophy, kinesiology and asana practices, which I greatly appreciated. I look forward to future learning opportunities at Sound Yoga as I continue my journey of teaching the joy (and many health benefits!) yoga has to offer!”
